An infographic overview of COVID–19 and it's effects within Canada.
Since March, provincial lockdown began and the world takes on this dominos effect shutting down mass gatherings and public spaces in an effort to ‘flatten the curve’ and stop the spread of COVID-19. As global stay-at-home order rein on the international community, numbers continues to climb. Over a span of several months, 184 countries has seen infections take rise and claim the lives of around 400,000 people around the world. But as new learnings emerges on the economical and biological impacts of this disease, testing and contact tracing has came to the forefront as a solution to controlling infection. Canada stands in as one of the top 10 countries with the highest number of tests, while our neighbour—USA— remains the epicenter of the crisis. As we continue to unravel the truth behind this virus and monitor it’s progression, more answers will arise as the first wave begins to subsides.
